Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students' growth and development as a contract school psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Sacramento, CA. This full-time position is aligned with the 2026-2027 academic year, providing a fantastic opportunity to make an impact throughout the entire school year. Youll be primarily involved with preschool evaluations and assessments, while also engaging with a wider student population across the district as needed.

Desired background and qualifications:

  • Valid certification/licensure as a school psychologist in California
  • Prior experience with psychoeducational evaluations and assessments, preferably in an educational environment
  • Strong knowledge of preschool developmental milestones and assessment tools
  • Familiarity with best practices in special education and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Passion for helping students access the resources and support they need to thrive

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments, with a primary focus on preschool-age students
  • Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and participate in IEP meetings
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and related service providers regarding evaluation findings and recommendations
  • Support a single assigned school, managing all assessment and intervention needs for that site
  • Collaborate with school teams to design and implement interventions as appropriate
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation per district and state requirements
