Job Description

A school psychologist is needed to provide comprehensive psychological services in both elementary and high school settings within a school environment located in Romulus, MI. This contract position offers an opportunity to work directly with students, families, and educational staff to support student mental health, academic success, and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to support student well-being
  • Assist in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant regulations and policies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state
  • Experience working with elementary and high school students
  • Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and educational laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations and school staff
