Job Description

Step into a vital role providing essential support for students across PreK-12 settings throughout a district near Rockwell, NC. As a contracted school psychologist, you will work onsite across various school campuses, collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary district teams to shape positive educational outcomes and promote students mental health and well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active NCDPI Psychologist License (must attach valid licensure upon application)
  • Proficient with ECATS
  • Prior experience in school psychology, preferably within PreK-12 environments
  • Thorough understanding of psychoeducational evaluation processes for suspected disabilities
  • Strong consultation, crisis response, and counseling capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and school staff
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver staff training and provide mental health support
  • Experience participating in multi-disciplinary teams is highly valued

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and consult with teachers, school personnel, and parents regarding student needs
  • Participate in crisis response and address the mental health needs of students
  • Offer counseling services and facilitate conferences with families
  • Provide training for staff on relevant psychological and educational topics
  • Collaborate as part of district-wide multidisciplinary teams, contributing to comprehensive student support
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisors within a dynamic school setting

This contract runs from August 4, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week), and requires onsite presence.
