Job Description
Make a significant impact supporting PreK12 students as a School Psychologist in a full-time contract role spanning the 20262027 academic year. This engaging position offers the opportunity to serve across a district environment, collaborating with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team to promote student well-being and achievement. The role is onsite only, providing valuable in-person support in a variety of school settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active NCDPI School Psychologist licensure is required (must be provided with your application)
- Extensive experience using ECATS
- Prior background in psychoeducational assessment and evaluation practices
- Proven ability to consult, deliver counseling, and manage crisis responses in educational environments
- Familiarity with supporting diverse learners across PreK12
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- NC licensure and experience within NC schools preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead psychoeducational testing when students are suspected of having disabilities
- Consult with teachers, families, and staff to develop interventions that address mental health and learning needs
- Execute crisis intervention and counseling sessions as needed
- Conduct conferences with parents to discuss concerns and recommendations
- Offer training sessions to district staff on best practices and mental health topics
- Collaborate on district-level multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
Position Details:
- Contract dates: August 4, 2026 May 28, 2027
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week onsite
- Mileage not reimbursed
