This contract position offers a school-year opportunity for a licensed School Psychologist to work closely with Pre-K through 2nd grade students and provide occasional support at the high school level. With a manageable caseload and the chance to focus on early intervention, youll play an essential role in fostering student success and well-being.
What Our Ideal Candidate Brings:
- Active Tennessee Psychologist license
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, especially early education (Pre-K2nd grade)
- Familiarity with conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and offering consultation to teachers and parents
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as the primary psychologist assigned to a single school
- Commitment to ethical practice and up-to-date knowledge of state regulations and best practices in school psychology
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations primarily for Pre-K through 2nd graders
- Support high school students on an as-needed basis
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop intervention plans and promote student success
- Participate in meetings and service delivery for a district of roughly 2,800 students
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
