Step into a rewarding role as an onsite School Psychologist, offering meaningful support to students and educators in a collaborative district. Youll be joining a specialized team to provide vital testing, participate in IEP/SST meetings, and potentially offer direct counseling services within a supportive educational environment. While the district encompasses five schools, your focus will not span all locationsyour expertise will be utilized strategically alongside another on-site psychologist to ensure balanced responsibilities and effective caseload management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland School Psychologist licensure (required)
- Masters degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Strong experience in conducting assessments and participating in the special education process
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and students
- Flexibility and adaptability in managing shifting caseloads and school needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for multidisciplinary teams
- Participate actively in IEP and Student Support Team (SST) meetings to develop and monitor educational plans
- Provide short-term counseling interventions, as needed, to support student well-being and engagement
- Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to offer guidance on strategies for student success
- Maintain clear documentation in line with professional and district standards
