Job Description

While the district encompasses five schools, your focus will not span all locationsyour expertise will be utilized strategically alongside another on-site psychologist to ensure balanced responsibilities and effective caseload management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland School Psychologist licensure (required)
  • Masters degree in School Psychology or closely related field
  • Strong experience in conducting assessments and participating in the special education process
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and students
  • Flexibility and adaptability in managing shifting caseloads and school needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate actively in IEP and Student Support Team (SST) meetings to develop and monitor educational plans
  • Provide short-term counseling interventions, as needed, to support student well-being and engagement
  • Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to offer guidance on strategies for student success
  • Maintain clear documentation in line with professional and district standards
