Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
  • Proven experience in psycho-educational assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, parents, and school staff
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education and behavioral plans
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, case management, and relevant state/federal regulations
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Engage in individual and group counseling for students dealing with educational or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators on interventions and classroom strategies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families to foster an inclusive, supportive school climate
  • Maintain thorough records in compliance with confidentiality and data requirements
  • Provide crisis intervention services and contribute to prevention initiatives as needed
