Make an impact supporting students and educators by taking on a contract opportunity as a School Psychologist near Ridgeland, SC. Work alongside dedicated staff to assess student needs, offer guidance, and contribute to individualized educational planning in a collaborative school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- State licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological and academic assessments in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of special education regulations and best practices
- Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide counseling and develop interventions for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students academic, behavioral, and emotional strengths and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Provide support through individual and group counseling sessions
- Consult with staff on strategies for academic and behavioral interventions
- Document findings, maintain records, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and professional development as required
