Job Description
A school psychologist is sought to support both elementary and high school students in Richmond, KY. This contract position involves working collaboratively with educational staff to assess, diagnose, and provide interventions that promote the emotional, social, and academic development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students in elementary and high school settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Offer consultation to school personnel on behavioral and mental health issues.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
- Experience working with diverse student populations in elementary and high school environments.
- Strong skills in psychological assessment and interpretation.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to special education and student mental health.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
