Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid state certification/license as a School Psychologist
- Familiarity with school-based assessment tools, counseling techniques, and intervention strategies
- Experience conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse learners and advocating for student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments to identify student strengths and challenges
- Interpret test data and collaborate with educators and families to develop appropriate interventions
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing emotional and behavioral issues
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise to eligibility determinations, and offer guidance in developing goals
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote positive school climate and safe learning environments
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and federal educational guidelines
