Job Description

This opportunity is for a licensed School Psychologist to support students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. The role is based in Rapid City, SD, and offers a contract position within a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting student mental health and academic success through collaboration with educators, families, and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments for students in grades K-12
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and behavioral interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and emotional well-being
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
  • Maintain confidential records and comply with state regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold licensure as a School Psychologist in South Dakota
  • Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
  • Flexible approach to caseload management, with the ability to adapt to varying student needs
  • Willingness to consider interns who meet licensure and educational requirements
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Prior experience working within South Dakota schools is a plus
