Ideal Background & Qualifications:
- Current state licensure and certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience providing psychological services in a K-12 setting
- Comprehensive understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) practices
- Proficient in conducting psycho-educational evaluations and writing detailed reports
- Skilled in counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborating with educators and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students learning, behavioral, or emotional needs
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to design targeted interventions
- Participate actively as a member of multidisciplinary teams for IEP meetings and support planning
- Deliver individual and group counseling to help students manage academic, behavioral, and social challenges
- Support school-wide initiatives for positive behavior and mental health awareness
- Provide crisis intervention and contribute to the development of safe learning environments
- Maintain required records and complete documentation accurately and promptly
