Job Description
Step into a meaningful role supporting students across multiple schools as a part-time School Psychologist. Your expertise will impact learners from kindergarten through grade 12, serving as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team. The assignment runs from July 27, 2026, through May 24, 2027, with a couple of professional development days kicking things off. What you'll bring:
- Active Louisiana DOE certification in School Psychology
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational evaluations and IDEA compliance
- Experience writing comprehensive evaluation reports and interpreting assessment data
- Familiarity with special education eligibility criteria and multidisciplinary processes
- Effective collaboration skills with educators, social workers, speech-language pathologists, and administrators
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities
- Ability to clearly present assessment results to families and school teams
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Willingness to complete required district background check and fingerprinting
What your days will look like:
- Conducting educational and psychological assessments to determine student needs
- Preparing timely written reports
- Joining professional teams to develop tailored learning and behavioral strategies
- Partnering with parents, teachers, and school leadership to interpret assessment findings
- Maintaining case notes and documentation for continuity and accountability
- Engaging in in-service trainings and supporting staff and families across multiple campuses
- Explaining and guiding school team members through the assessment process
- Consulting and planning for individualized programs based on assessment results
