Job Description
Put your expertise to work in a dynamic educational setting as a School Psychologist supporting students and staff for the academic year through June 6, 2025. With a schedule running from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm and a total of 37.5 hours per week, youll play an essential role in helping students succeed both academically and emotionally. Flexible school assignments and negotiable caseloads allow you to focus on what you do best, tailored to your preferences.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia School Psychologist License
- Background in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic examinations
- Experience in facilitating behavior modification strategies and interventions
- Capability to perform individual and group therapy sessions
- Proficiency in collaborating with staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills, including maintaining detailed records and progress reports
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to identify behavioral, emotional, and academic needs
- Recommend evidence-based interventions to maximize student learning outcomes
- Participate in the identification and placement process for students requiring specialized services
- Conduct individual or group counseling sessions to address a variety of psychological needs
- Collaborate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators to support student success
- Implement and monitor behavior modification plans
- Ensure all records, reports, and documentation meet regulatory and ethical standards
