Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in students lives as a school psychologist supporting special education services for the upcoming 20262027 academic year. This contract-based opportunity invites you to play a pivotal role by providing psychological assessments and services to students ranging from preschool through high school. The caseload offers variety and challenge, with responsibilities that flex to match district needs throughout the year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in School Psychology.
- Certified and approved as a School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education.
- Experience working with students from preschool through 12th grade is highly desirable.
- Strong assessment, consultation, and collaborative skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations for students, adhering to all state guidelines and mandated timelines.
- Deliver psychological services and participate in the development, implementation, and review of individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support professionals to develop effective strategies for students academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to families and team members in an accessible, supportive manner.
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation to ensure compliance with district and state requirements.
This position is onsite only, with an assignment of 37.5 hours per week for the full school year. Youll have the opportunity to influence the educational journey of students while working alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary community.
