Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Department of Health (DOH) License as a School Psychologist
  • Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
  • Previous experience in a school or educational environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of special education processes and best practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Solid understanding of response-to-intervention (RTI) models and educational assessments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
  • Develop evidence-based intervention plans tailored to individual students
  • Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, providing expertise on eligibility and programming
  • Counsel students individually or in groups to support social and emotional wellbeing
  • Provide crisis intervention and collaborate on threat assessments when necessary
  • Advise teachers and staff on classroom strategies to support diverse learners
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records in compliance with legal requirements
  • Engage with families, offering resources and support as needed
