Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold an active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Psychology license (required)
  • Experience conducting assessments and providing counseling or intervention within school settings
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and parents
  • Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and multi-disciplinary team processes
  • Ability to balance caseload responsibilities, triage priorities, and work independently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to determine students unique academic and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions and support plans
  • Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing expert input and documentation
  • Support students through individual and small-group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and program effectiveness
  • Remain current on best practices and relevant legal or regulatory requirements
