Embark on a rewarding opportunity for the 2026-27 academic year as a dedicated School Psychologist, working full-time onsite in a supportive K-12 school environment. This contract position offers the chance to make a real impact in the lives of students while collaborating as an integral member of school teams.
As a school psychologist, you will play a crucial role in identifying students with educational disabilities who may benefit from special education services. Partner with multidisciplinary teams to create positive learning outcomes, assist in crisis intervention, and serve as a trusted resource for staff, parents, and students. Flexibility in scheduling is provided depending on school assignment, with most shifts scheduled between 7:00-3:00 or 8:30-4:30.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Nebraska state license as a School Psychologist is required
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education evaluation and intervention processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavioral and academic intervention plans
- Experience providing counseling and crisis support within a school setting is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Support identification and evaluation of students in need of special education services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as Intervention, Safety, Building, or District Crisis teams
- Develop behavior intervention plans and academic support plans
- Provide school-based counseling to students in crisis
- Serve as a resource for staff, students, and families
