This position will involve collaborating with educators, families, and school staff to create safe and supportive learning environments for every student. Your expertise will play a vital role in identifying student needs, recommending interventions, and promoting positive outcomes within a dynamic educational community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Current and valid state licensure to practice as a school psychologist
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, RTI/MTSS processes, and special education eligibility requirements
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
- A commitment to culturally responsive practice and fostering inclusivity
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments
- Develop individualized education plans and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis management as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Help design prevention and early intervention services targeting social-emotional needs
- Support compliance with federal and state regulations regarding special education
