Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a school psychologist in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
• Masters degree or higher in psychology, education, or a related field
• Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and support individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Current knowledge of best practices in school psychology and relevant legal standards

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments for students to determine needs and eligibility for special services
• Participate in student support teams and help create effective intervention plans
• Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to advocate for student success
• Deliver counseling services to students individually and in groups as appropriate
• Support crisis intervention and provide ongoing consultation to staff around student mental health and behavior
• Document and report findings in compliance with district and state guidelines
