Qualifications:

  • Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
  • Valid GAPSC credential required
  • Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom and testing environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation for students in grades K-12 during district-wide testing periods
  • Facilitate communication between students, staff, and educators to ensure an inclusive assessment environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting assignments
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education staff to meet students needs during assessments
  • Remain flexible and responsive to changing schedules and student requirements
