Discover a rewarding contract role working as a School Psychologist in the vibrant Phoenix area for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This dynamic opportunity will allow you to work in diverse elementary and high school settings, providing essential psychological services to students. Assignments will range from part-time placements at elementary schools to full-time roles, with caseloads averaging around 60 students and approximately 12 evaluations per day. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as assignments and weekly hours may vary according to district needs.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Valid Arizona Department of Education School Psychologist certification
- Current IVP Fingerprint Card
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings
- Strong pen-and-paper evaluation skills
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Synergy platforms (highly preferred)
- Ability to be autonomous, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced school environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments
- Support students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with district policies
- Develop and implement individualized plans for students as needed
- Serve in multiple school sites, adapting to each unique environment
