A contract opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to support the academic and emotional development of students in a school setting located in Pearland, TX. This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional dedicated to assessing student needs and collaborating with educators and families to foster a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers, counselors, and parents
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention activities as necessary
- Stay current on best practices, laws, and regulations pertaining to school psychology
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with a variety of assessment tools and intervention techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage caseloads independently and prioritize diverse responsibilities
- Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations
