Job Description
A school psychologist position is available at a contract role in Paterson, NJ, supporting both elementary and high school students. This opportunity focuses on providing psychological services within a school setting to help foster students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students in elementary and high school.
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, parents, and administrators on student mental health and learning needs.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to address individual student challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive educational outcomes.
- Participate in eligibility meetings and maintain detailed documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with elementary and high school populations.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies within educational settings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Familiarity with state and federal education regulations relating to special education and student support services.
