A contract opportunity is available for an experienced School Psychologist in Paterson, NJ, offering a chance to support student development in an educational setting. This role focuses on applying psychological principles to assess and address the social, emotional, and academic needs of students within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to create and implement intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support student well-being.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with educational guidelines and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working within school systems performing assessments and providing interventions.
- Strong understanding of child development, psychological testing, and educational laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic school environment.
