A school psychologist opportunity is available for a contract position in Pasadena, TX. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in supporting students mental health, learning needs, and emotional well-being within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate student learning and behavior
- Develop intervention plans and provide individual or group counseling to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create positive learning environments
- Participate in special education eligibility meetings and assist with creating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure effective outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a school psychologist in the state of Texas
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Strong skills in psychological assessment and data interpretation
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavioral and academic interventions
