This contract position is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support student development and well-being in a school setting located in Painesville, OH. The role focuses on providing psychological services that promote academic success and address social-emotional needs within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective interventions and support plans
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Assist in the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) and offer guidance on accommodations
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes
- Promote positive school climate through prevention programs and staff training sessions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse student populations and school staff
- Ability to contribute positively in a collaborative school environment
