Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid national or state school psychologist credential/certification
- Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments
- Knowledge of special education law and eligibility criteria
- Ability to implement interventions and collaborate on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when partnering with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs through formal and informal assessment techniques
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services
- Develop individualized intervention plans and provide consultative support to teachers and parents
- Assist in crisis intervention, prevention, and trauma-informed approaches
- Support a positive school climate and promote safe, inclusive environments for all students
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all confidentiality and compliance requirements
- Collaborate regularly with educators, administrators, and other professionals on student support strategies
