Job Description

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid national or state school psychologist credential/certification
  • Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments
  • Knowledge of special education law and eligibility criteria
  • Ability to implement interventions and collaborate on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when partnering with staff, students, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs through formal and informal assessment techniques
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Develop individualized intervention plans and provide consultative support to teachers and parents
  • Assist in crisis intervention, prevention, and trauma-informed approaches
  • Support a positive school climate and promote safe, inclusive environments for all students
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all confidentiality and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate regularly with educators, administrators, and other professionals on student support strategies
