Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for School Psychology
  • Experience or strong interest in working with junior high school students
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of assessment tools, special education guidelines, and intervention strategies
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all student matters

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs
  • Participate actively in eligibility meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and RTI/MTSS processes
  • Maintain accurate and timely student records and documentation
  • Offer guidance and professional insight to school staff regarding best practices in supporting student well-being
