Make a meaningful impact by supporting K-8 students across two vibrant school communities in an in-person, full-time contract position near Orland Park, IL. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist who thrives in collaborative settings and is passionate about fostering student success through innovative, research-based interventions and proactive support.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
- Active State of Illinois PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience
- Comprehensive understanding and commitment to organizational core values
- Proven record in supporting academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs for school-aged children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prevent, assess, and address barriers to learning and social development; support individualized plans for students academic and emotional growth
- Participate as an integral member of SPED, 504, and MTSS teams across two school locations, ensuring accurate screening, identification, and support of students needs
- Uphold compliance with special education, 504, and MTSS guidelines, achieving 90-100% compliance on requirements and timelines
- Serve as a consultant for MTSS systems, leading Tier 3 intervention planning and monitoring
- Prepare, present, and document evaluations and reports within compliance timelines; participate actively in problem-solving and IEP meetings
- Request and manage confidential information from external agencies as needed, maintaining meticulous records and logs
- Remain abreast of current research and best practices, conduct professional development, and inform teams on advances in child development and assessments
- Act as liaison and expert resource to staff and families, maintaining clear, timely communication
This role offers a consistent 37.5-hour work week, with a manageable caseload spread across two K-8 locations, and a pay rate of $85 per hour.
