Make a profound impact in the Chattanooga area supporting students as a contracted school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This is a full-time opportunity (35 hours per week) from August 5, 2026, to May 19, 2027, providing vital psychological services across varying school assignments within the district. Caseload details and age group specifics will be communicated as the district finalizes plans.
Candidates with a strong background in school psychological services are encouraged to apply. The district may consider a 4-day onsite/1-day remote hybrid schedule for individuals who have both a valid reason and the professional qualifications to support this arrangement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of an active DOE (Department of Education) certification in School Psychology
- Ability to complete all required fingerprinting and credentialing processes within given timelines
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention services to support student success
- Collaborate with school teams to develop, implement, and monitor student support plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary evaluations
- Deliver crisis response and prevention services as needed
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district and federal guidelines for practice
