This opportunity is for a qualified School Psychologist to support students across multiple schools in a district-wide assignment in Onancock, VA. The position offers a full-time contract with 37.5 hours per week, beginning September 9 for the new school year. The role requires providing comprehensive psychological services serving PreK-12 students within a caseload model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support student educational needs.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide indirect services including consultation, team meetings, and progress monitoring.
- Document findings and maintain compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Participate in paid administrative time and team meetings as part of the role.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist license.
- Experience working in educational settings with diverse student populations.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively under a workload model.
- Knowledge of best practices in school psychology, assessment tools, and behavioral interventions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
