Job Description

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Current Virginia School Psychologist License required
  • Experience or interest in working with a range of ages (PK-12)
  • Strong skills in assessment, intervention, counseling, and consultation
  • Familiarity with special education processes and IEP development preferred
  • Ability to manage a caseload model effectively
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students learning and behavioral needs
  • Participate in and contribute to IEP team meetings
  • Provide recommendations and strategies for academic and behavioral interventions
  • Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts district-wide
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to district guidelines
  • Engage in indirect services, including paid team meetings and administrative tasks
