Job Description
Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist. This assignment spans the 20262027 school year and covers K12 populations primarily within Emporia and neighboring districts, all conveniently within a 20-minute radius. Working onsite, you'll collaborate closely with educators, students, and families to facilitate positive learning environments and support students social, emotional, and academic needs.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold an active Kansas Psychologist License
- Prior experience in school-based settings or with K12 student populations is strongly preferred
- Proficient with evaluations, developing individualized plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Capable of traveling between district sites if assigned (all within easy reach of Emporia)
- Demonstrated ability to support diverse learners and build rapport with students of various ages and backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments and interpret data for educational planning
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Provide counseling and intervention services as appropriate for students
- Participate in team meetings, including behavior intervention and student assistance teams
- Maintain accurate, compliant records and documentation
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in school psychology
