Help support the academic and emotional success of students by applying your expertise as a School Psychologist on a contract basis in a vibrant educational community near Olathe, KS. Your specialized knowledge will make a positive impact as you conduct assessments, develop strategies, and collaborate with educators and families to promote a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid license as a School Psychologist (or eligibility for state certification)
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting a range of psychoeducational assessments
- Compassionate approach to student well-being and learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling services to support students social, emotional, and behavioral health
- Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) processes
- Offer crisis intervention and consultation on behavior management
- Assist with data collection and progress monitoring to guide student supports
- Contribute to professional development for school personnel on best practices in student mental health and learning
