An opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to provide essential support within a school setting in Olathe, KS. This contract position offers the chance to work directly with students, educators, and families to promote academic success and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling services and intervention strategies to support student mental health
- Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral management
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide mental health programs
- Maintain accurate records and comply with legal and ethical standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working within school environments
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills
- Knowledge of educational laws, special education processes, and intervention techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student population and school staff
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
