Make a genuine impact working with elementary students as an integral part of a supportive building team throughout the school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to practice your school psychology expertise serving kindergarten through 5th grade students, collaborating directly with educational professionals and student support staff.
Youll be onsite, immersed in daily school life, actively contributing to problem-solving initiatives, Student Intervention Teams, and the Building Crisis Team. Your role will be essential in evaluating students and providing services in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). With a contract spanning from July 30th to June 2nd, this position provides consistency and fulfillment as you help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- School-based experience, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Knowledge of IEP processes and best practices in special education
- Ability to thrive working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Dedication to fostering inclusivity and developmental growth in diverse youth populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal psychoeducational evaluations for IEP eligibility determinations
- Deliver direct and indirect IEP-mandated services to students
- Participate actively in Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams
- Consult with teachers, families, and community partners
- Develop and monitor intervention strategies and behavior support plans
- Support and foster positive school climate and student wellbeing
