Job Description

A school psychology opportunity is available for experienced professionals to provide specialized assessment and support for students with intense disabilities in a Kansas school district. The role involves working directly with non-verbal students, physically impaired students, and those who communicate using assistive technology devices across multiple school sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students with complex needs ranging from K-12.
  • Utilize expertise in alternative communication methods and adaptive technologies to accurately assess student needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored intervention strategies.
  • Possibly travel between multiple school locations to meet district demands.
  • Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining detailed documentation and compliance with district guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
  • Experience working with students with intense disabilities, including non-verbal and physically impaired individuals.
  • Skilled in administering and interpreting a variety of psychological tests.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support staff.

Location: Kansas City, Kansas area with travel between campuses.
