Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students across elementary to high school ages as a skilled Sign Language Interpreter. Your primary focus will be interpreting for students during various testing sessions, ensuring fair and inclusive access to all assessment materials. The per diem, as-needed schedule provides flexibility with varied days each week based on district requirementsperfect for those who value adaptability and varied assignments.
Qualifications & Credentials:
- Hold a current EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Possess a valid GAPSC credential
- Previous experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students preferred
- Strong understanding of student confidentiality and educational environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sign language interpretation for standardized and specialized testing throughout the district
- Collaborate with educators, school psychologists, and other staff to best support student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student interactions
- Adapt interpretation methods to suit the grade level and content
- Ensure accurate, effective communication in a variety of testing scenarios
