Make a meaningful impact supporting students by bringing your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to schools serving elementary through high school students in and around Oglethorpe, GA. In this contract, per diem position, youll be an essential asset for students across a district-wide caseload, specifically interpreting during testing situations to ensure all students have equitable access.

Requirements:

• Current credentials with a 3.5 EIPA score or higher.
• GAPSC credential.
• Experience interpreting within an educational environment, ideally with K-12 students.
• Comfort interpreting in academic, testing, and group settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work as needed, adapting to different grade levels and testing situations across the district.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, confidential interpretation for students during testing.
• Collaborate closely with educators and school staff to ensure seamless communication accommodations.
• Serve a dynamic caseload, supporting the needs of students ranging from elementary to high school.
• Maintain professional standards and comply with district and regulatory guidelines.
