The assignment is a contract position, conveniently located in Escondido, CA, within a supportive school setting near the Oceanside area.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California Pupil Personnel Services (CA PPS) credential in School Psychology
- Demonstrated experience working with high school-age students is highly encouraged
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage diverse student caseloads and tailor interventions to meet individual needs
- Commitment to ethical and evidence-based practices
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments and provide recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Offer direct counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Promote positive behavioral strategies and a culture of inclusivity within the school community
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for student cases
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making
