Job Description

This contract position for a dedicated school psychologist offers the chance to make a substantial impact on students in grades 78 (Junior High) or K4 (Elementary), starting August 18, 2026, through June 4, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist license in Illinois (PSYCH IL)
  • Proven experience working with school-age children, especially at the elementary or junior high levels
  • Ability to perform comprehensive student evaluations and assessments
  • Strong communication skills when collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Capacity for compassionate problem-solving and effective advocacy for student needs
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver onsite psychological services and assessments for a 35-hour workweek
  • Develop intervention plans and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to foster supportive learning environments
  • Counsel students individually and in groups to address academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to data-driven decision making
