A full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to serve during the 202627 school year in Oakwood, IL. The position offers a contract assignment with approximately 35 hours per week, beginning around August 18, 2026, and concluding near June 4, 2027. Assignments may involve working with either junior high students (7th8th grade) or elementary students (K4), supporting diverse student needs through comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct special education evaluations within established timelines
- Facilitate and participate in domain meetings, eligibility determination conferences (EDCs), and annual reviews (ARs)
- Implement and support MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) processes
- Collaborate on Manifestation Determination Reviews
- Utilize knowledge of IEPs, 504 plans, and district special education procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress monitoring
- Use assessment and data systems such as Q-global and FastBridge to support student evaluation and intervention planning
- Engage with staff and families to promote student outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of IDEA and Illinois rules, regulations, and timelines
- Experience managing special education caseloads and scheduling efficient meetings
- Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and related interventions
- Proficient with relevant assessment tools and digital platforms including Google Docs
