Job Description
Make an immediate impact supporting students across elementary, middle, and high schools in a contract role as a school psychologist. This position offers the chance to collaborate with educators and families in an engaging educational setting to ensure students have access to the psychological services and support they need to flourish academically and emotionally.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Psychology or a closely related field is required
- Valid Michigan school psychologist licensure
- Experience working with elementary, middle, and/or high school populations
- Strong communication skills to effectively consult with staff, students, and families
- Knowledge of special education laws and assessment tools
- Ability to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and interpret comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations
- Work closely with teachers and administrators to develop educational interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP planning
- Collaborate with staff to promote prevention, intervention, and crisis response services
- Counsel students individually or in groups to address academic, social, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Provide recommendations and consultation to school personnel and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting according to district and state standards
