This contract opportunity offers the chance to help K-12 students thrive, collaborating with educators and families to deliver comprehensive mental health and academic support. As a School Psychologist, you will work a full-time schedule of 32.5 hours per week, serving a diverse caseload across grade levels.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or ability to obtain in Connecticut)
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and evidence-based interventions
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Knowledge of IEP processes, special education regulations, and MTSS/RTI frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for students K-12
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions and strategies that support student learning and wellbeing
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide recommendations based on assessment data
- Promote positive mental health and foster safe, inclusive school environments
