A school district in North Tonawanda, NY is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support an elementary school caseload during the current school year on a contract basis. This position offers an opportunity to provide psychological services that enhance the educational experience and well-being of young students in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and interventions to support student mental health and academic growth
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district and legal guidelines
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of educational laws and special education regulations
Work Schedule and Location:
- Elementary school setting
- Monday through Friday, approximately 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM
- Position based in North Tonawanda, NY
- Contract position covering the current school year
