A contract position is available for a Licensed School Psychologist in North Bergen, NJ, to support student mental health and learning within a school setting. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital psychological services that help students overcome learning barriers and thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to design interventions.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to comply with educational regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert psychological insights.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience administering a variety of assessment tools and interpreting results.
- Strong knowledge of child development, educational psychology, and behavioral interventions.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Previous experience in a school environment highly preferred.
