This position serves 1-2 schools near Norfolk, VA, starting August 24th and continuing through June 4th, with a 37.5-hour workweek. Essential Qualifications:
- Active Virginia School Psychologist License is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in school settings
- Proficiency with assessments, IEPs, and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities
- Comfort with hybrid schedules and adaptability to changing needs
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret data for referrals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and emotional well-being
- Develop and participate in intervention and prevention programs
- Provide consultation and guidance to educators, families, and administrators
- Contribute to IEP meetings, functional behavior assessments, and progress monitoring
