This full-time, on-site contract opportunity is ideal for a licensed School Psychologist passionate about supporting students across various age groups. The role will be based in a vibrant school district near Norfolk, VA, and requires a commitment from late August through mid-June.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention strategies.
• Assist in the creation and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines.
• Serve as a valued resource for crisis intervention and behavioral assessments.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications:

• Active licensure with the Virginia Department of Education.
• Valid certification as a School Psychologist in Virginia.
• Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to working on-site (no virtual or hybrid options).
• Prior experience in school-based settings is highly regarded.
• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and communication skills.

This contract role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 35 hours per week, with the number of schools and specific caseload details to be determined.
