Job Description

A school district in the Niagara Falls, NY area is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support students with an elementary caseload. This contract position offers structured hours from 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the school day.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for elementary students to identify learning needs and support services.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed to support student mental health and well-being.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure students receive appropriate interventions.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and adjust recommendations accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with elementary school students preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, IEP development, and behavioral interventions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff and families.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.

Location: Niagara Falls, NY, with a caseload focused on elementary students in Grand Island, NY.

This contract role offers a well-defined school schedule, providing balance and the chance to contribute to student success in a supportive educational environment.
