Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students within a diverse educational setting in New Haven, CT. This contract position offers the chance to work directly with students, families, and educational teams to provide comprehensive psychological services that promote student success and well-being.

Key responsibilities include conducting in-person assessments, participating in IEP meetings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention strategies. The role requires flexibility to manage a changing caseload, as student needs and school assignments may vary throughout the contract period. Travel between multiple school locations within the district will be necessary to meet these demands.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Eligibility for or possession of state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results accurately
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and service providers
  • Flexibility and adaptability to shifting caseloads and school assignments
  • Willingness to travel between school sites as required
