Make a meaningful difference supporting K-12 students as a dedicated School Psychologist on a full-time, contract basis near New Haven, CT. This rewarding opportunity offers 32.5 hours per week working collaboratively within school communities to enhance student well-being and academic success. Youll have the chance to impact students across a diverse caseload, providing consultative and intervention services while working alongside caring educators and families.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or eligibility for School Psychologist credentials in Connecticut
- Masters or higher degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience serving K-12 students in educational settings
- Sound knowledge of psychological assessment tools and MTSS practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for student, parent, and staff collaboration
- Ability to provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Write detailed evaluation reports and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Offer individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral consultation
- Support development of IEPs and 504 Plans through participation in student support meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to foster student success
- Promote positive school climate and student resilience through evidence-based practices
