Job Description

This contract position offers you the opportunity to provide vital psychological services across two elementary schools. With a focus on students from kindergarten through fifth grade, youll work collaboratively with educators, families, and administrators to create safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.

You will spend your weekdays from 8am to 3pm engaged in meaningful work, conducting assessments, developing interventions, and delivering counseling services. Your contributions will help shape educational strategies, ensuring all students have access to the support and resources they need for academic and social-emotional success.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification/license in Illinois.
  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology.
  • Previous experience in K-5 school settings preferred.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and educational assessments.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and intervention strategies.
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention for students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents on academic and behavioral supports.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school policies.
  • Engage in data-driven decision-making to support student growth.
